BAYSPEAK is a youth public speaking competition for secondary school students around the Bayside region of Victoria run by the Rotary Clubs of Brighton, Brighton North and Sandringham
It is designed for secondary school students who:
- Want to improve their public speaking skills;
- Want to test their public speaking ability against students from other schools in the Bayside area;
- Want to win cash prizes for the best speakers.

Heat 1 : 7pm Tuesday 6 May 2025 at Mentone Girls' Grammar, Jubilee Theatre (entry via Prudence Lewty Hall)
Heat 2 : 7pm Tuesday 13 May 2025 at Brighton Grammar School, Robertson Sanderson Centenary Hall (entry via St Andrew's Street)
Heat 3 : 7pm Wednesday 21 May 2025 at Firbank Grammar School, CSC Lecture Theatre, Gate 2, 51 Outer Cres, Brighton
Finals : 7pm Tuesday 3 June 2025 at Firbank Grammar School, CSC Lecture Theatre, Gate 2, 51 Outer Cres, Brighton
Grand Finals: Monday 16 June 2025 at Melbourne Girls Grammar
Competitors are asked to arrive at 6:30pm for each event in time for a 6:45pm briefing.
