More Brighton Rotarians become RMIT Mentors...

Melbourne based RMIT students are getting support from Brighton Rotarians' industry professionals to explore their career options. On Tuesday, 31st October we saw a big jump in Rotary Club of Brighton Mentors signing-up to invest into the workforce of the future, by Mentoring students at RMIT.  This new project initiative wasn’t just involving Rotarians, but is something that has partners interested as well. These new mentors are keen to take action, sharing their expertise and experiences with RMIT student mentees.

BRIGHTON ROTARY MAKING MORE CHANGE FOR THE GREATER GOOD

Brighton Rotary’s Sustainable Community Cambodia Committee have managed to raise $52,750 USD and nearly doubled this to $99,000 USD - $125,000 AUD - with a Rotary Foundation International Global Grant for an exciting humanitarian project.

The funds will be invested in the Preh Nohr community, North of Siem Reip - over a 4-year period - to create a sustainable future for the 4,000 villagers who live across three villages.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE THROUGH ROTARY YOUTH PROGRAM OF ENRICHMENT (RYPEN)...

From Friday, 27th October night to Sunday afternoon, 29th October students from Brighton Secondary College (BSC) attended RYPEN at Malmsbury - thanks to the efforts of Brighton Rotarians Tony Naughton, and John and Carole Schmoll.

RYPEN is a 2.5 day residential experience, where participants are involved in a variety of sessions, workshops and activities. It's an opportunity for them to develop personally, challenge themselves, build friendships with like-minded people, and build life skills. It’s a great example of #RotaryinAction
