Our palates were tantalised and tested last Thursday by a sensuous combination of De Bortoli wines, and tapas dishes provided by Hampton RSL. A range of white and red wines were offered to us for tasting and we were given expert guidance on the serving, tasting and storage of wine by De Bortoli’s Peter Marr. We shared this enjoyable experience with members of the North Brighton Rotary Club who organised the event. Many thanks to Ian Marchment and his team for his work in making it all happen and to our David Finney who organised things from our end.
On Thursday 28 November the Bayside Elderly Citizens Christmas Lunch was held at the Hampton RSL and some of our members were involved in running this successful event. I want acknowledge PP Arthur Hubbard who organised and hosted the lunch with help from Jennifer Nanfra (hosting, decorations and balloons), Angela Biggin, Geoff Cunnungham, John Schmoll, Stuart McIntyre, David Smyth and PP Ivan Vojlay for his great photography and hosting. Well done everyone.
There is no meeting this week and we now look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Cocktail Function on Thursday 19 December, our last get together of this year. Max has provided full details below including the booking link.
I wish you all a safe week and hope that you enjoy your
Christmas shopping.
