The National Science and Engineering Challenge 2026!

Hot off the presses! A massive congratulations to Auburn High School
who have come first in The National Science and Engineering Challenge for 2026!

Not only did they win their heat at Deakin University Burwood earlier this year, and went on to take out first place in the Victoria state finals
to finish in the Top 8 schools in Australia…
They are now the Australian champions for the year!

Earlier this year, this joint project in conjunction with the Balwyn Rotary & Brighton North Rotary Clubs and supported by Rotary Foundation - Rotary District 9800, hosted students from 22 local high schools at Deakin Burwood and Monash University. Thanks to all the volunteers and supporters! From this fun filled day and experience, we are looking to support these young people to be inspired to be part of Australia’s next generation of STEM talent. This initiative will look to expand next year with more schools and more event days and have been lucky enough to be supported once again with a Rotary District 9800 Foundation matching grant. We would love to hear from other Rotary Clubs who would like to support this exciting 2027 initiative. Please reach out to youth@brightonrotary.com.au so you don’t miss out on this amazing
youth program

The trailer is in the Facebook link https://www.facebook.com/share/17zyaHzkGA/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Screening: Sunday 8th November at 5pm.
