President's Message

Was great to see so many members and guests attend the Brighton Baths fellowship function last Thursday and even better to see people stick around after dinner to enjoy the fellowship.

Thank you Wendy Davis for your work and dedication in making these events so successful.

It was a privilege to be there to recognise and honour the tremendous support that Paul and Hillary Raynor, owners of the Brighton Baths, have extended to the Rotary Club of Brighton over the years. Their dedication and support especially with our annual Bayside Swim, have been invaluable. Because of their generosity, we’ve been able to create one of the most significant fundraising events in our community. Paul and Hillary’s contributions don’t stop at the Great Bayside Swim. They have also been instrumental in supporting The Brighton Lunch, another key event that helped us give back to those in need.

Their commitment has gone above and beyond, helping us not only run these events successfully but also foster a stronger connection between the club and the community. In appreciation of all that they have done, it was with great pleasure that I present them with a plaque - a symbol of our deep gratitude for their many years of partnership and support. We truly look forward to continuing this wonderful relationship for many more years to come.

Wishing all members a great week ahead,
be kind be good and stay safe.

Bendigo Community Bank-Highett
joins the Rotary Club of Brighton
as our first Corporate Club Sponsor

Following a successful partnership as a key sponsor of the Bayside Art Show last November, we have now joined forces with Bendigo Community Bank Highett as our first Corporate Club Sponsor across all events for the next 3 years and beyond.

Over the past few months Norm has been discussing this new strategic initiative with the community bank board members prior to jointly drawing up a “Memorandum of Understanding” (MOU), this was signed off over a relaxed coffee meeting at the White Rabbit last Thursday 17th October with the Chairman, Paul Reid and Treasurer Frank Warner, whereas the community bank has agreed to financially support our Rotary Club for $90,000 over the initial term of three years ($30k per annum).

As a Gold level sponsor status for the Rotary Club of Brighton (rather than a specific event) they have the opportunity for exposure across all events in conjunction with events chair- persons and/or project coordinators.

Paul and some of the Board Members will be visiting our club as
Friends of Rotary in the near future.
