Travelling Rotarians

Here are some interesting photos received from
some of our world travellers.

Here is “MV Robert”, part-owned by Stuart McIntyre, half-way through a 3-week canal voyage in France. Geoff Shaw was deckhand in training for 10 days, then Arthur Hubbard signed on as Leading Hand (1st Class). BTW the name Robert is warmly greeted in France, as it is sometimes their equivalent of John Thomas. Other photos show Arthur and Stuart at St Jean de Losnes, France on the
Petite Saone River.

Graeme and Julie Watson in Paris with Julie travelling sidecar.

Also Brendan Kierce and Maria have just returned from 2 weeks in Hong Kong. Brendan advises that he visited the following clubs during his stay:

Rotary Club of Kowloon Golden Mile
Rotary Club of Hong Kong Harbour
Rotary Club of Hong Kong
Rotary Club of Kowloon Neoteric.

Well done Brendan!

Our Speaker 5 June Meeting

Mark Talbot

The Magic Of Church Street.
Magic for the shoppers, Magic for the shopkeepers
and Magic for the shop owners.

However, Church Street is much more, it is a village and social function for Brighton and increasingly for surrounding suburbs.
Mark is a highly successful commercial real estate agent and a Director and Partner of Fitzroys, one of Melbourne’s leading commercial real estate firms. Fitzroys also specialises in retail strip shopping centres and more particularly in the sale, leasing and management of property and as far as Church Street is concerned he knows more about it than anyone else.

Fitzroys have already declared Church Street is the most successful shopping strip in Melbourne with its comprehensive range of services and wide representation of national and local named businesses.
The Church Street influence extends to a vibrant precinct with services that are not in other centres. Should be a fascinating topic.
Booking for this meeting to be advised closer to the date.
