RCB Bulletin Thursday 13 June 2024
Last Thursday night's presentation on Electric Vehicles was excellent and certainly provided food for thought on whether to or when to transition to Electric vehicles. Thanks to Richard Catchlove from Brighton Porsche.

Bayspeak 2024 was wrapped up during the week - the high standard, the diversity of subjects and enthusiasm of all the finalists was outstanding and  the certainly made it all worthwhile. The finalists for Parliament House/D9800 speak-off on the 18 June have been identified with students from each of Star of the Sea, Shelford Girl's Grammar, Brighton Grammar and Mentone representing Bayspeak. Also worth a mention was the winner of the overall best STEM speech was won by Nathan S, a year 12 student from Brighton Secondary College. Highlight Photos below

For the information of those unable to attend last Thursday's meeting, members voted to approve a donation of $10,000 for the Les Twentyman Foundation. Prior to the vote, PP Paul Nicholson gave some background on the late Les Twentyman and his substantial involvement and assistance provided to our Club over many years.

A plea to members – can members, partners, and friends please book early for the evening of 20 June at Hampton RSL for RSB for Issi’s Tribute to New Diamond and the Beatles. The event will be opened up to RSL members closer to cut-off time, albeit  preference to fill it ourselves. Remember you can come along at 6.00pm and eat at the RSL, or simply attend Issi’s performance at 8.00, or both as I know many will do.
