In January 2025 at the15th swim, it wasn't just about the swimming, the Kieser Great  Bayside Swim was a true celebration of community spirit. Some 70 Rotarians and their partners and families were on hand to help, and the event was supported by a host of sponsors, including Multisport Australia, Medical Edge, Kieser, Highett Community Bank. Bayside Council also lent their support, providing crucial assistance with cleaning the beach and access to the car park.

Of course, the real winners of the day were the Rotary charities. The event raised $40,000 + for important causes, including the Brighton Lifesaving Club.

The Kieser Great Bayside Swim was also a chance to showcase the beauty of Brighton Beach and the incredible efforts of the Brighton Lifesaving Club. The Club provided the course layout, water safety, IRB rescue boats, rescue boards, and 70 lifesavers, ensuring that every swimmer was safe and supported throughout the event. The Royal Brighton Yacht Club also played a vital role, closing their marina and providing access to their yard and beach rinse-down shower.

As the event drew to a close, swimmers and spectators alike could be proud of what they had achieved. The Kieser Great Bayside Swim was not just a fantastic day out but a testament to the power of community spirit and the incredible things that can be achieved when people come together for a common cause.

Look out for the 2026 swim! We can't wait to see what it has in store!
