Brighton Rotary - Helping Disadvantaged Kids & Safer Communities Grant
Rotary Club of Brighton Meeting - Thursday 2nd June - 6pm for 6:30pm start.
Team Sports 4 All (TS4A) will be talking about the work they do with local families and vulnerable kids, engaging them in youth sports activity and positive role modelling, which in turn decreases social isolation. We'll be introducing Directors - Fi Gathercole, Mike Rikard-Bell and CEO Cameron Dare to tell us about this grass roots cause that is making a difference to young people going through financial and/or social hardship. RCB and TS4A have just secured $350,000 in grant funding as part of the Federal Government's Safer Communities Program to help an estimated 500 high risk youth between the ages of 12 and 24 in and around Bayside, Glen Eira, Port Phillip, Frankston, and Kingston. Join us to find out more...
