The Bayside Art Show 2013

The forty-third Bayside Art Show was held August 21-25 at a great new venue, Sandringham Yacht Club, overlooking Port Phillip Bay. Opening night was a black tie function attended by 320 people.  Traffic through the show on the following days was well up on that of previous years.

Principal sponsor for the Show is Barloworld Mercedes (now renamed to Mercedes Benz Brighton).

Over 500 of the 880 entries received were selected for hanging at the show.  Painting sales were at a record level. Principal beneficiary of the Art Show is The Brighton Recreational Centre.  Other Rotary charities will also be beneficiaries of the show. Last year Rotary Club of Brighton distributed $185,000 to its various charities.

The prize  for best artwork in the show went to Craig Davy for his landscape oil on canvas work 'Sunlit Fields' and the prize for Best Oil Painting went to Lorraine Burns for 'Marmalade Mayhem'.

Sandringham Yacht Club will be the home for 'The Bayside Art Show 2014'.
