Since its formation on 24th September, 1973, the Rotary Club of Brighton has lived up to the ideals of Rotary in its community service, fund raising and social programs. RCB is part of Rotary International www.rotary.org, a global network of 1.2 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who come together to make positive, lasting change in communities at home and abroad.

From the relatively modest beginnings with 23 members meeting in the cafeteria of the former Sandringham Technical School, to its present complement of 120+ members who meet at Milanos Hotel, Brighton Beach, it has become one of the largest Rotary Clubs in Australia.

The influence of the club is all over the Bayside area and far beyond.

The Club has established, and club members continue to be involved in a number of separate community organisations including the Bayside Recreational Centre "Brighton Rec" (www.brightonrec.com.au), BayCISS ( Bayside Community Information and Support Services) www.bayciss.org.au and Violence Free Families (www.violencefreefamilies.org.au).
