It will be Great on Australia Day

For the sixth year, the Rotary Club of Brighton will be celebrating Australia Day in Bayside at The Swimland Great Australia Day Swim. The event is held at Middle Brighton Pier on Monday January 26.

Over 1,000 swimmers will participate in Open Water events around the Pier, Breakwater and Marina, which provides a spectacular vantage point for spectators. Again, there will be live entertainment and food stalls on the concourse in front of the Middle Brighton Baths.

This year, 200 juniors from Swim Schools will expand their swimming skills by progressing from swimming pools to the Open Water in the Swimland Junior Dash alongside the Pier.

For the first time the event will conclude with The Brighton Challenge Invitation Relay and features teams from major swimming clubs.
