Bayside Art Show
The Art Show is a major fundraiser in August which showcases local and rising talent with an event ranging over a few days. Art is selected by a panel and sold to the public with a set commission going to the Club.
Brighton Lunch is a Major Fundraiser usually in May to raise funds for local causes while providing full catering and entertainment for guests.
Club Services provides the club administration to ensure the club runs smoothly. It is responsible for Front Desk, Sargent Activity, Club History and Archives Photography, Raffles, and Speakers
Community service comprises varied efforts that members make, sometimes in conjunction with others, to improve the quality of life of those who live within the club’s locality or municipality.
The Foundation Committee Manages Rotary Club Brighton’s contribution to The Rotary Foundation’s mission through grants that build peace, prevent disease, provide clean water, support maternal and child health, promote education, and support local economies.
Fund Raising & Sponsors
The fund raising committee is charged with co-ordinating all activities which purpose is to raise funds.
The committee also applies selection criteria for beneficiaries to ensure that funds are applied in the most efficient and effective way.
Golf Day is a major fundraiser in often September whereby individuals pay a registration fee to be part of the day’s competition which provides a professional’s input, fun, and ends with a free gourmet BBQ meal while collecting prizes
Great Australia Day Swim
The Great Australia Day Swim is a major fundraiser in January involving mass participation of swimmers in a variety of events and age groups
International manages the clubs involvement in International projects
Marketing & Communication
Marketing & communication is the committee that develops and implements plans for providing the public with information about Rotary and promoting the club’s service projects and activities.
Many people join Rotary to serve others locally and globally. Rotary allows members to make a difference while promoting fellowship and international understanding. The Membership Committee will enable new members to join the club and ensure all members have a satisfying experience while “Making a Difference” to others in the world.
Night of Stars
Night of Stars: Is a Major Fundraiser usually in March which celebrate sporting and other stars while providing full catering and entertainment for guests
The Speakers Committee arranges the speakers for meetings and club events.
‘We Care’ Committee are responsible for member and spouse/partner well-being, assimilating new members into the club. They follow-up with those who are unwell or in need of support and even offer confidential counseling if needed.
Youth Service is the committee that undertakes projects that support the fundamental needs of our youth as described “New Generations”. This includes health, human values, education, and self-development. It is also responsible for coordinating exchange students, and the Rotary leadership programs called RYPEN and RYDA. All members involved in these programs will have a current “working with Children” Certificate.
